I think that’s a good shorthand and probably a good idea for fic writers to use as well because you know how annoying it is reading characters having an entire conversation in German that isn’t even correct so it means I’ll NEVER know what the author intended the characters to be saying! And I don’t even speak it fluently! It is kind of sad when I, someone who barely speaks X language, can tell that something is just totally incorrect.
